So Blessed.

This past weekend was AMAZING. I got to listen to and be inspired by the prophet and other leaders of my church. There were so many wonderful things said and I can't wait to go through all the beautifully written talks again! One thing I really appreciated was the messages about gratitude. Sometimes I am not thankful enough for what I have, and I focus way too much on what I don't have. But really, I am the luckiest girl in the entire world!!! I have so much to be thankful for, but fresh in my mind are these two things:

  • The incomparable blessing of General Conference every six months as well as various other opportunities to hear the Prophets and Apostles speak.
  • The most amazing family in the history of the universe. Seriously, I am 1000% convinced that my family - both immediate and extended - is the best a girl could ever dream of. I have soooo many strong and steadfast examples to look up to and to rally around me when I need help or advice.

I love spending time with my family, and being with them this weekend was exactly what I needed. I tend to get really stressed and wound up when I'm in school, and it was such a relief to take a break from all the hectic-ness and just enjoy the company of some fantastic people.

I completely agree with Miss Anna when she said that Fall is like a fresh start. And I think General Conference really reiterated that for me this weekend, it came at the perfect time. It always does! I feel like my life has been refocused. I have new goals and aspects of myself that I want to work on. I feel ready to tackle anything, because I know I can do all things through Christ, which strenghtheneth me.
