The Cabin

I've officially decided that I'm a really bad blogger.  I'll try to be better, but we all know that I probably won't be.  I mean, really.  How many times in the history of this blog have I said that I'll be better? And how many times has it actually happened? Exactly.

My life has been really great lately.  I'm working (and I actually like it!), Running a lot, reading (sort of), getting addicted to new TV shows (PSYCH!), and greatly anticipating Harry Potter (NEXT WEEK!!!!).  There's also some other things I'm greatly anticipating, but that's a post for another time.

The best news though is that I got to go to my family's cabin in Island Park over the weekend.  Oh goodness.  Every time we go there it is an absolute blast.  One of the greatest things about the cabin is the relaxation.  We stay in our pj's til noon, watch movies, play card games, and just chill. However, the best thing about going to the cabin is the lake!

beautiful, no?
There is a lake literally right down the road from our cabin and we spend the majority of our time there, weather permitting. We don't even always have a boat/jet ski. Most of the time we just jump in and play on tubes and life jackets.  We also like to entertain ourselves with games. Like "let's see who can jump the farthest!":

The lovely Anner Bannaner

My dad jumps in with shoes on, nerd. But he saw me type that and said I needed to say "They're not shoes they're sandals! Waterproof sandals!" Happy, Dad? :)

not the point of the game, but Phil definitely looked the coolest jumping in

Jare dog

Clearly, I lost.  And you know you want my white legs.

We also like to wear our life jackets diaper style.... Don't kill me for posting this, girls :)

There may have been some model walking in these but I'll spare you those pictures.

The rest of the weekend up there was spent staying up late and giggling, making fun of the people that talk in their sleep, going to Uncle Warren's for a 4th of July BBQ and getting rained on, having dance parties outside the car while waiting (FOREVER) for the fireworks, eating waaaaay too many desserts, and just having a blast.

I can't even begin to explain how much I love the cabin. I wish we could stay up there all summer! And my family is the greatest.  I know I've said it before but we spend so much time together and are truly best friends. I can't imagine life without them. Good thing I get them forever!

The Sunday normal picture - a good example of how much taller my brother and sister are than me.
My girls.  Love them.
All the cousins that were on this trip.  I would've put the normal one, but this one's way more fun.
Happy July, everybody!
