Tired, but Happy

This is my sleepy face. My eyes are feeling extra droopy today, and that might have something to do with the fact that I've only gotten about 5 hrs of sleep every night the past 3 nights. Now here's where I hear the "blah blah 5 hours is plenty try getting only 3 hours blah blah blah" comments from people. But guess what? I'm tired, okay? It's been difficult trying to get my body used to waking up early again, after waking up no earlier than 9 for a month. Oh, blessed Christmas vacation.

Anyway. Yesterday, I was able to be a part of the LDV auditions! This definitely has factored into my tiredness - 10 hours of being at the piano off and on can really do a number on ya. I totally had flashbacks to being the rehearsal accompanist for the musical in high school... those were the days! Haha. But it was actually really neat to be a part of it all yesterday. And to watch all the fabulous people that came through and auditioned was really fun! I also felt like I got to know the presidency a lot better in those long hours, which was just great. They're all such wonderful people.

The best (and hardest, in a way) part of the night though, was after all the auditions were over and it was time to decide who would be part of the group for the semester. I think the way the decisions were made for LDV are different than any other choir I've been a part of.  While musical ability was certainly taken into account, overall it was about the presidency and Bro. Salmond following the spirit on who needed to be selected. I was asked to stay and help with the process, and while I gave a little bit of input, I mostly just watched as they made the decisions. It was incredible to see the way the spirit worked and how easy most of the decisions were! It was such a neat thing to realize again that Heavenly Father has a plan for each of His children. His hand was definitely in this process last night, and it was a wonderful experience to witness that. After seeing this whole process, I'm so much more excited for this semester! I know that Bro. Salmond and the presidency are doing the right things and going about them the right way, and I feel really privileged to be a part of it.

I'm also grateful to have strengthened my testimony of Heavenly Father's hand in our lives. Truly, He knows what's best for us. What a comfort that is!

Happy Wednesday. :)

Haters gonna hate. You're still attractive. Not many girls can say that when sleep-deprived.

Good luck with classes!
