You'll Feel Better

Sometimes, life doesn't work out the way you plan. Or even just how you really, really want it to. When that happens, what do you do? Lay in your bed and cry about it for a week or more while only consuming ice cream and watching netflix? 

Heck to the nah.

Give yourself a day to cry into your pillow, if you need it. 
But after that, you gotta pick yourself up and move on.
Take charge of your feelings. Fulfill your responsibilities. Go out into the world.

You'll probably still cry about it from time to time, and that's okay. If you need to cry, let yourself cry.

You'll feel better.

But only cry for a few minutes. 
Then, focus on something else. Watch a funny YouTube video. Go for a run. Do something you love.

You'll feel better.

When an opportunity to have fun presents itself and you hesitate going for it, in favor of wallowing instead?
Stop hesitating. Be bold. Take the opportunity.

You'll feel better.

When you're having a sad moment and nothing seems to be curing it, see what you can do for someone else. 
You forget your troubles when you help another with theirs.

You'll feel better. 

You may want to focus only on the bad. Don't do it!
Life is only bad if you let it be bad.
There is always a bright spot and a good side to everything.
Find that bright spot. Even if it's the tiniest, most miniscule drop of happiness you can conjure up, grab it. Hold onto it for dear life. Don't let yourself forget it. Repeat it to yourself every minute if you have to.

Tell yourself this truth: Heavenly Father has a better plan in store for you than anything you could possibly come up with on your own.

You'll feel better. 
 
Don't forget the important things - pray. Read your scriptures. Listen to conference talks.

You'll feel better. 
 
Before you know it, that little drop of happiness will have multiplied enough to fill an ocean of joy...

And you'll feel better.
